Sparks! Updated to Show Stats · 74 words posted 09/14/2005 09:30 PM

We’ve updated “Sparks!”—the plug-in for Mint—to show high and low ranges, thus providing the scale of measurement in each Sparkline. Plus we’ve fixed a bux that caused the plug-in to generate blank graphs on some installations of Mint.
Thanks for all the feedback. If you come across bugs or have suggestions for improvement, email me or post them in the comments below.
You can grab the current copy of Sparks! on Colby’s site.

Sparks! looks awesome. If you run into any trouble with the Sparkline library, drop me a line, I’m happy to help. Or if you end up with changes that would be useful for other users of the library, I’m happy to help keep the library up to date.
Best,
James #

Thanks James. We found the Sparkline library very easy to work with. (James is the author of the Sparkline library on which we based Sparks!)
One issue we’ve encountered: the colors are hard coded in the library. We’ve updated it to allow the user to set the color in a prefs database which is then passed into the library. For general use, it might be handy to store the colors as an array in a separate config file.
Thanks again. #
