ColdFusion MX 7 Now Has a Mac OS X Installer · 110 words posted 09/28/2005 08:54 AM
Until now, if you wanted to run ColdFusion MX on OS X, your best option was following Sean Corfield’s excellent Installing ColdFusion MX on Mac OS X. Sean’s tutorial is great (thanks Sean!), but requires that you muck around with java config files—something you might not find worthwhile for a language you’ve never tried.
With the new ColdFusion MX 7 Updater Macromedia has made it as easy to install ColdFusion on OS X as it is on Windows. It’s free to run CFMX as a development server. If you’re a Mac developer and you’ve been put off by the old, unsupported installation, now is the time to check out ColdFusion MX.
