Two obscure developer tips · 124 words posted 07/29/2004 05:41 PM
Sometimes you can use a system or program for years and be unaware of simple workarounds and features. Today I came across two random tips that will cut quite a bit of time out of my workday:
- If you run a Windows 2003 server and have ever wanted to add a fileshare that your Mac can read, Drew McLellan has scrounged up an old tip from Mac OS X Hints.
- If you work with Dreamweaver MX 2004 and you want to “put” only the files you have checked out, right-click (Win) or ctrl-click (Mac) the folder in question and then choose “Select > Checked Out Files.” Click “Check In” and bob’s your uncle. (Danilo Celic posted this tip on a private mailing list).
Thanks Danilo and Drew!
